Just-A-Scrappin Design Team Weekly Challenge - Giving Thanks

I went scrap booking last weekend and had time to make some Thanksgiving cards as well. This one happens to be my favorite. Since I was at Craft Envy I wasn't able to make a video on this but I'll do a wrap up video of all the Thanksgiving cards I made and this will be included.

How I made it:
First,  I was inspired by a picture I saw on Pinterest.

Card base: Craft card stock (5 1/2 x 4 1/4)
Stamp: Leaf (old from Hero Arts)
Stamp: "May the blessings...." ?Recollections?

I used the leaf stamp on leaf patterned paper and cut it out by hand.
Then I stamped 3 leaves on the card stock.
Last, I stamped the sentiment on cream colored card stock, used my 2 inch Ek Success punch and ink around the edges with Tim Holtz Antique Linen. I popped it up using foam tape.

Thanks for stopping by!

Hugs,
Kim

Thinking of You Cards

My girlfriend's son is currently going to film school. He's filming a 30 second commercial, as a project, and asked me last week if he could use one of my "Thinking of You" cards. Ironically, I didn't have any already made up. So, here's the 3 cards I just made that he can chose from....

Scene:
A women walks in from work, puts down her brief case, pats her dog on the head, says hello to her husband who is in the kitchen fixing dinner and give her little boy a big hug as he turns and runs back into his bedroom. She's feeling exhausted.
She sits at the small desk in the living room and as she flips through the mail she comes across an envelope that her mom has sent.
She opens it, finds a beautifully handcrafted "Thinking of You" card made by Sunshine Creations and Crafts that her mom sent.
Cut.

Just-A-Scrappin Design Team Weekly Challenge - Celebrate Veteran's

Hey there and thanks for stopping by <3 (that's a heart in computer code...lol....)

Today I've used a technique in the Cricut Design Space that I use often but can't remember ever sharing it. First you create a layer using Shape/Image which in this case was an A2 size card. Then
chose the images you want to use on your card and size them accordingly.
For this card I used images from "Stand and Salute" but you can use images from any of the cartridges. I also use this technique for scrapbook layouts.

Here's the link on how I did it:

Cardz TV Gallery Design Team - Gratitude

Hello everyone!
It's always so hard to chose which stamp to use with all the fantastic sentiment stamps that Mary creates. For this card I used the "Gratitude" sentiment from the "Many Thanks" stamp set. Click on this link and it'll take directly to the CardzTV stamps blog. www.cardztvstamps.blogspot.com

For this card I've used a few favorite techniques. They include the Coredinations paper from JoAnns and the sanding tool from Tim Holtz. I've also used a Spellbinders Nestibilities Die set. The papers came from my scrap bin which all ended up coordinating so nicely.

"I've Moved" cards

Now that my mom is all settled into her new apartment she's asked that I make her some cards so she can let her friends know her new address.

Materials used:
Base: Golden rod Recollections card stock. Inside I put a white 5 1/4 x 4 inch piece of paper so she could write a not to her friends.
Stamp sets: Avocado Arts "Grateful Season" and "Thoughts and Smiles"
www.avocadoarts.com
Other: Black liquid pearl and Copic markers

I used a technique on the Cricut Design Space where I chose the image to cut. In this case it was the banner. Then I typed the text aka words, placed it on top of the cut, chose "attach" then asked it to cut. I plan on doing a tutorial on that soon.
