CardzTV Cards Design Team Challenge "Shamrocks and Clovers"

Hey there! For the Cardz Tv cards design team challenge we're to make a card using Mary's www.cardztvstamps.blogspot.com adorable sentiment stamps with shamrocks or clovers. For this card I used "This and That". How cute are these?

I've been wanting to try to make a stencil with my Cricut Explore. It turned out so good! You should give it a go. The video below shows how I did it.

Materials used
Card Base: DCWV (?). Not sure it was in my loose paper stash
Layer: 110 lb Watermark water color paper
Stencil: Plaid Stencil Paper (Amazon)
Inks: Tim Holtz (Peeled Paint and Spiced Marmalade)
Rainbow - St.Patrick's Day Cricut cartridge
Sentiment - Momento Ink pens

Here's how I made it: (20 minutes long). You can also watch this on www.youtube.com/sunshinecreation.

Scrapbook Layout Share #3

Looks like I didn't post this one to my blog. If anyone here...followers I mean...hasn't yet subscribed to my youtube channel and would like to here's the link www.youtube.com/sunshinecreation

This is a layout of a visit from my sister AND a little mini vacation we took. We always have such a great time.

My favorite thing about this layout is the lace.

Here are the pictures of the 2 page layout.

Here's how I made the first page of the layout.

Cricut Design Space is down

CDS is down today but worth the wait. I've been watching videos from Melody Lane, Stacey Williams and Ken's Kreations and am just so excited for this update. I'm not going to buy the Explorer Air but I did get the wireless adapter so that when I go scrapbooking I can use my iPad to create. I have a laptop but it's kind of big. If you haven't already heard there is going to be a special presentation of HSN February 18.

In the meantime, I'm going to work on a layout for the annual Ocean Mesa camp trip my girlfriend, Catherine, and I go on. I'll make my best effort to use all the embellishments I've bought over the years plus have decided to dust off my Silhouette just in case.

I did buy a Cannon CP910 Selphy to crop and resize photos when I'm out scrapbooking but I tried something else. I'll try to explain it. I copy and pasted photos onto a word document, resized each photo then printed them out on an 8 1/2 x 11 photo paper. The photo paper is much thinner than regular photo paper but it worked!

The boys do not have school today so I think they'll probably sleep in and I'll have a jammie day/scrapbooking day.

Hugs!

CardzTV Cards Design Team Challenge - Use ribbon on a card

Hi everyone! For this week's challenge on the Cardz TV Cards Design we are making a card using ribbon. Mary's stamps from Cardz TV are just so cute and versatile. www.cardztvstamps.blogspot.com. You must go check them out.

I started out not favoring this card too much but in the end it turned out kind of cute. I'd definitely add more ribbon next time to cover up the circle. I even struggled a bit putting it together!

As some of you may know, we had to move my Grandma to a skilled nursing facility. She is so happy and is healthier than she has been in years. I plan on sending her a card a few times a month then going to see her. This one is for her.

Materials used:
Card base: Bazzill cardstock. A2 size.
Ribbon: It's a variety.
Leaves: Pre-cut felt I bought at my local craft store.
Stamps: "Just Sayin'"

Here's how I made it:

Scrapbook Layout Share #2

Hey there!
Here's a video on 3 pages I was able to get done while scrapbooking last Friday. I had intended on doing more but my boys called me saying Schatzi (my female miniature Schnauzer) was sick. I packed up rushed home to find out she was fine. My dog's are like my children.

Anyway, as you'll see in the video I used a couple of paper kits that came with embellishments. I will occasionally buy these off of Scrapbook Daily Deals www.scrapbookdailydeals.com, Crafty Steals www.craftysteals.com or when I go to a scrapbooking weekend event they give them away free. I didn't use my Cricut Explore for any of these. I know..shocking, right?

My layouts seem to always be sort of traditional...I guess you'd call it...although I have broken out the stencils, inks and sprays and used them if I'm at home.

My apologies about the lighting. One of my bulbs had blown out and I haven't had a chance to get a replacements.

St Patrick's Day Project - Wreath

Here's the next project I'll be doing with ladies (no men have participated YET) at my local senior center. When I asked them what they wanted to do in February a few of them suggested something with a St. Patrick's Day theme. I came up with this paper wreath. Now, as I mentioned in the video, I would have rather made a burlap wreath but my $5 budget per person (which I donate back to the center) wouldn't have covered the cost.
In the video I asked the subscribers for some ideas on what I could add. It just seemed to simple and plain. I got some great suggestions. So, I'll be adding bows, buttons and rainbows. The class is this Wednesday (Feb. 18) so on Thursday I'll post a picture of all of us and our finished projects.
