Note cards for bingo prizes

Last conversation I had with my Grandma she had mentioned not wanting the stuffed animals anymore for the Bingo prizes. They play Bingo several days a week at the nursing home she is in. She has over a dozen on her shelf. I thought maybe they'd want note cards so, I called the activities director, Sean, and he liked the idea.

Here is what I came up with:

The card base is from the David Tuttera designs. I used some rub ons I had in my stash. Simple but elegant, right?

The card base is from David Tuttera designs. I used rub ons for this too.

This card base is from David Tuttera as well. I used rub ons but did this one a bit differently. I put the rub ons a seperate piece of card stock and colored them with copic markers. I fussy cut them out then glued them on the card base. I took my black gel pen and added some dots around the flowers here and there.

The card base is Recollections (110 lb). I added a layer of black card stock then a layer of black dotted paper (Recollections). I cut another layer of white, inked the edges a bit and stamped the bee,
flowers and the sentiment.

The card base is Recollections (110 lb). I added a layer of green and grey which I embossed with my dotted swiss embossing folder. The stamp and die set is from Rubbernecker stamps. I had got this at the Scrapbook Expo. It's one of my favorites. I used Tim Holtz distress pens to color the image.

The card base is Recollections (65 lb). I used my large Chevron stamp from Just Right Stamps. I placed a piece of mask tape across the card base. I inked the stamp up with Stampin Up pool party.
The Hello stamp came from TPC studio.

Gosh, where do you begin when having to chose your favorite embellishment or technique? One of my favorite techniques is to make a card with dimension...things that pop up or pop out. I especially like doing this with butterflies.

Brown and White poke a dot: Coordinations (Joanns)
Butterfly stamp set: Hero Arts DC134

School Themed Banners

For the last 3 years my teacher friends ask me to make "things" for their classrooms.  I already posted a video of the Apple treat boxes I made but didn't share the banners.

Get your pencils out class because you need to take

I used the base of the banner from the Decorate! Celebrate! Cricut cartridge. I cut them at 7 inches wide my 11 inches high.
The chevron design came from The First Few Years Cricut cartridge. I glued them on very carefully so that they were all even.
The circle was from When I was a Kid Cricut cartridge. It has a base, which I did in black, and a top layer that I did in white.
The font is Don Juan.
On the banners with the circles I used my Ek Success 1 1/2 inch punch.

Just-A-Scrappin Design Team Weekly Challenge - Glitter and Shimmer

The one thing I like about being on the Just-A-Scrappin design team is that the challenges give you the opportunity to use techniques that you may not have done for a while. Here's a perfect example.

Don't forget to click on the Just-A-Scrappin link above and check out all the amazing projects the design team has done.

Here's how I did it....
The Shimmer Paper is from Crafter's companion.
I chose the pink for the card base, the yellow for the flowers and green for the leaves.
I put a touch of Martha Stewart glitter (peridot) to highlight a few of the leaves.
My eBosser machine needed some dusting off. I love that I can use the 8 1/2 x 11 embossing folders.

Here's the link to my YouTube Channel so you can watch how I made it....

Happy Birthday - Flowers In A Jar

I'm going crazy with my stampin' here folks! Now, this card took a little longer than the cards I usually make but I think it was worth it. I have the dies that match the flowers and stems but it was taking me so long putting them through the Big Shot that I just fussy cut them.
It's hard to tell in the picture but I popped up the mason jar.
After I colored the jar with my copic markers I put some Glossy accents on it.

Here's what I used to make this card:
Card Base: Recollections
Layer: My Mind's Eye "Find Your Wings and Fly"
Stamp Set: Paper Smooches "Botanical 3" for the flowers
Recollections - For the little mason jar. No name listed on the packaging
                  Paper Smooches - Party Animal
Ink: Stampin Up
        Crisp Canteloupe
        Primrose Peddles
        Crushed Curry
        Gumball Green
Copic Markers: B00, B91, C1

Happy Birthday - Gear It Up

Coming up with ideas for masculine birthday cards is such a challenging ordeal! I knew I wanted something with gears. I went into CDS searched gears and here's what I found.

Here's what I used to make it:
Card Base: Recollections 12 x 12 Craft card stock. I cut 2 card bases at 5.5 x 8.50 folding it at 4.25.
Cartridge: Paper Lace 2. I used rust colored DCWV card stock. I cut it at 5.5 x 4.25 but it didn't quite make the whole size of the card base. I liked it. This die cut has 2 layers to it but I only cut the one with the gears.
Stamp set: Paper Smooches - Blissful Banners. I stamped it out on the remaining of the card stock, fussy cut it then backed it up with white card stock and fussy cut it again.
Other: Paper Studio black and white circle enamel dots.
