Silhouette Project - Candy Crate Treat Box

I saw this treat box in the Silhouette Library and thought, "I just got have this!" Well, and 6 or 7 more of the other ones. Yikes. Oh, but they are all so cute. Here's one that holds mini candy bars, bags, etc. It was super easy to put together too!

The paper came from a paper pad I bought at Big Lots a few years back. I would suggest using something a bit more sturdy. Double sided is good but not necessary.
The "Happy Halloween" sentiment is from Tags, Bags, Boxes and more 2. I used the Cricut Design Space Print Then Cut.
The actual box is Silhouette Image #66747 by Samantha Walker.

Thanksgiving 2014 Card Series - Card #7

Hey there! Thanks for stopping by. I made a video for this card but silly me....I mistakenly deleted it before I edited and uploaded to youtube.

This card base is from the Stretch Your Imagination Cricut cartridge. I used craft card stock for the base and Recollections (?) cardstock with the leaves on it. The "Autumn word is from the CTMH Artbooking. I cut a cream layer just slightly bigger than the brown layer to give it a shadow effect. The card has faux stitching around the top layer.

This is a very easy and quick card to make!

Sunday Funday - K Cup Holder

Isn't this just crazy cute! I absolutely love putting things together like this. I found this on the CardMaker Magazine's Facebook page (www.facebook.com/cardmakermag) and just had to try it. The Designer, Penny, even gives a Silhouette cut for you.
A special shout out and thank you to Deb (Deb B Craftin) for the adorable button that she made.

CardzTV Card Design Team "Dots and Stripes" - I'm Batty For You

Hey there everyone!

First, if you haven't had a chance to use Mary's stamps www.cardztvstamps.blogspot.com stop what you're doing and place your order now! These sentiments stamps are cute, versatile and of a very high quality. Plus there are so many choices!
Also check out the daily inspiration from the CardzTV Gallery www.cardztvgallery.blogspot.com. You will truly be inspired.

The design has been asked to create a card, using Mary's stamps (easy peasy), using dots and stripes. I tied in a Halloween theme with all that. So, here's the picture of the card and a video on how I created it.

Here's what I used to make it:
CardzTV Stamp Set: Spooky Sayings
Card Base: Recollections Cream colored 110lb card stock. Cut at 5 1/2 x 4 1/4
Black Layer: Recollections cut at 5 1/4 x 4
Cream Layer: Recollections cut at 5 x 3 3/4. I used pinking (did I spell that right?) shears for the top and the bottom.
Pattern paper: My Mind's Eye
Bats: Silhouette Cameo "Snapdragon Snippets Image #32220"
Brads: Oriental Trading

Here's how I created it:

Smiles to you all!

Just A Scrappin Design Team - Use it or Lose it

"Use It Or Lose It". Isn't that a great theme? This is my project for the Just-A-Scrappin (www.just-a-scrappin.blogspot.com) Design Team weekly challenge. I was going through my Fall/Thanksgiving paper, etc. and found this pre-designed mini (8 x 6) that I had bought a long time ago. Now, if you have something like this you have the choice whether to put all the photo mats and embellishments or not. The design of the paper is cute enough as it is! Just put your pictures on each page and journal!
I'm posting only the before pictures. You can see the final project in the video below.

Here's how I did it:

Thanks so much for watching and have a sun shiny day.

Scrapbook Layout - Spooky Not

When you are a mother of young children there may be times, understandably, that you might think, "I can't wait until they get a bit older." Well, don't blink cause it'll happen before you know it.

2013 was the first year my boys did not want to have anything to do with Halloween. No dressing up, no parties, no trick or treating...nothing. So, what the heck do I take pictures of? Halloween and fall decorations of course.

I thought the page needed a little bit more so I cut out a few bats.

Here is a list of materials I used:
Base Paper: Big Lots
Photo Mats: My Minds Eye (Note: I had said Jillibean in the video)
Blood: Happy Hautings
Spider web: Create a Critter 2 Cricut cartridge
Bats: CTMH Artbooking Cricut cartridge
Skeleton: Happy Hauntings
Title: Jillibean
Stamps: CardzTV
Ghosts:
Tombstone: Happy Hauntings
Fence: Martha Stewart punch

Here's how I put it all together:

Scrapbook Layout - Permission To Drive

I can't believe how time flies. Just a year ago, my little baby (cough, cough) got his driver's permit.

It's always a challenge to fit 6 photos on one page but I think I pulled it off! I'm glad I found the die cuts that I did. Having the Silhouette Cameo and the Cricut Design Space gave me lots of choices.

Here's a list of materials:
Base paper: Paper Pizzaz. I found this at Joanns.
Photo mat paper: DCWV.
Memories ahead: Silhouette Image #18861
Away We Go: Silhouette Image #43188 Lori Whitlock
Road: My Community Cricut cartridge
Title: CTMH Artiste Cricut cartridge.

Just A Scrappin Design team Challenge - Coloring with Copics, etc

My apologies to the Just-A-Scrappin design team members. I'd scheduled this post to run but just realized I'd put it on the wrong day.
Anyway, here it is! I only used Tim Holtz Distress Inks for this although it was a tough choice on what I was going to make because I love to color with Copics as well.
I got this idea from a friend of mine that has asked me to make "Tent Centerpieces" for her reunion. She saw this on Pinterest.

The materials I used were:
Paper: Bazzill (black, gold, green)
Cricut cartridges:
Pretty Pennants. I cut everything at 5 3/4 inches. This way I could fit all four cuts on one page.
Don Juan. They are cut at 2 3/4 using brown Bazzill paper.

Here's how I made them.

Youth Birthday Card - Sweet Cupcakes

I'm making a few simple cards to donate to our local Senior Center.

It's a design using a bunch of different things like the Cricut Explore, Silhouette, American Crafts Ribbon and Recollections paper.

I'm including pictures of all the cards I made because each one is different. Now, you could do the same thing as a portrait style card.

Here's how I made them:

Scrapbook Layout - Ostrich and Emu Farm

Is visiting an ostrich farm on your bucket list? Well, it wasn't on mine but I'm sure glad I did. This was a blast.

The youtube video is on the complete page 1 (this one below). The second page I did off camera.

I'm still learning how to use the pens on the Cricut Explore and all that is involved. I ended up with what is on there but not really what I wanted. Trying to figure it all out will certainly keep me busy. Sigh....

Here's how I created page 1.

Cricut cartridge: Edge to Edge
Ribbon: scrap

        Studio G - Green

Easel Birthday Card with Butterflies

It's my momma's  77th birthday on Thursday. I'll be flying up on Wednesday to see her for a few days. I'm super excited.
I've made her an easel card. I know she's never seen anything like this before.

In the video I mentioned not knowing who made this paper but I remembered. It's My Mind's Eye.
Base: Cut at 4 1/2 x 11. Scored at the 5 1/2 inch and 2 3/4 inch line.
You can put anything you'd like as embellishments, stamps, punches...it's a really fun card to make.

Here's how I did it.

Fantabulous Cricut Challenge #226 - Kids Theme

Going back to school, for our little ones, can be exciting but also a bit overwhelming. If they walk into their new classroom with a little treat box filled with yummy candy the first day might not be so bad.
Here's what I made for my teacher friend for her 2nd grade students. She gave me a list of her students so I cut out their names and made it personal.

Here's how I made it:
Base: White Colorbok (Walmart)
Bus paper: Recollections
Name: Calligraphy Cricut cartridge
Lunch box: Tags Bags Boxes and More 2

Just a couple of notes: The Recollections school bus paper was not thick enough so I cut the shape out in white paper for the inside and glued the school bus paper on top.
I used fit to page and was able to cut out 2 shapes on one mat.
I welded the words together.

Just-A-Scrappin Weekly Design Team Challenge - Color Challenge Fall

Hi there!
Here's a project I've created for the Just-A-Scrappin Design team weekly challenge.

My original thought was to make a tag but it ended up being a door decoration. I love using the Pearl Ex against the black paper.

It's kind of funny that I really thought I was making a much smaller tag and as it was cutting..well, you watch and see what happens.
