Inspirational Card using Technique Tuesday Stamps

My sister just had someone...not a car...someONE on a bicycle hit her "new" (for her new) beautiful red 2003 Thunderbird. She'd only had it for a week. Anyway, I made her this card to cheer her up.

Thanks all for stopping by! Have a sun shiny day.

Scrapbook Layout - Anniversary

Here's a layout design/technique I've not done before. I've been watching a bunch of different youtubers that do one picture layouts and thought I'd give it a try. Most of the time I scrapbook events, vacations, etc. where I have a bunch of photos so one picture layouts are very rare.

I used the youtube music for this video. I like the upbeat tempo but it took almost 2 hours to load it. Not too crazy about that.

Thanks for stopping by!

Vacation is done

Well, my long awaited "run away from home" vacation is over. It felt great to just be able to relax with no dogs barking and no responsibilities. I missed my dogs tho', my kids and my hubby. I got bored of being bored...lol...
I did get about 6 pages of my 2013 album done. I wasn't able to video tape all of them because they were doing construction at the campsite. The tractors and bulldozers were very loud. Anyway, I'll be posting a few of the videos I did do.
Thanks so much for stopping by!

Operation Write Home Cards - Celebrate You

Here is another birthday card I've made for Operation Write Home (www.operationwritehome.org). Mary's stamps www.cardztvstamps.blogspot.com) just give it the right touch plus the variety of pattern paper.

Here's how I made it.....

Thank you and have a sun shiny day!

Operation Write Home Cards - Happy Birthday to You

Here's a birthday card I've made for the troops to give to their friends and family. I make these cards and send them to Operation Write Home (www.operationwritehome.org) who, in turn, mail them to the troops all over the world.
As you watch the "How I did it" video you'll see at the end I had decided to put a small button on the smallest flower but decided to make a small baker's twine middle.

Have a sun shiny day!

Life's challenges

Kyle ended up in the hospital Sunday morning due to severe stomach pains. After 3 days of tests, blood work, etc. I've requested he go home. I talked with his pediatrician and he's told us to follow up with a GI doctor. Sadly, he won't be going to Hawaii tomorrow but they will go in July.
Life is just so crazy sometimes.
All is good!

What's Up?

Hi all and thanks so much for stopping by. I've got quite the agenda for crafting these next few weeks and am really excited about it all.

Birthday card: My oldest son will be turning 19 on Saturday (June 14). I guess it still hasn't sunk in yet. Wednesday, he'll be leaving, by himself, for Hawaii to meet up with his dad who will be flying in there on Tuesday from China. They are going to have so much fun. When I asked him what he'd like from me, since his dad is doing the Hawaii thing, he said, "You know I'm not into gifts. mom. You can just make me one of your special cards." Is he the sweetest thing?

Welcome Home Banner: I'll be making a Welcome Home Banner with a Hawaii theme for when they return on Sunday.

Father's Day: Since my husband has traveled the world I have an idea as to what I'm going to be making him for a Father's Day card. It'll be fun to create this one.

3 days of camping/scrap booking: Call me crazy but I told my husband that I'm in need of a mini vacation. He's so funny...go to Mexico, go to Palm Springs...what ever you want to do. Well, I'm going to pack up my scrap booking stuff, load it into the RV and head to the beach for 2 nights. Are you thinking, "What? Camping when she can go anywhere?" Yep. I am really looking forward to the quite crafting time.

July Banner: I bought the CUTEST burlap at JoAnns that has red, white and blue stars on it.

Thanks all so much for stopping by!

Kimberly

Scrapbook Layout - Pismo Beach Vacation (+playlist)

Now that school is out and things have settled down a bit and I'm going to try and get some pages done for my 2013 scrapbook. This is page 1 of (probably) 6 of our vacation.
If you've never been to Pismo Beach put it on your bucket list because it's absolutely gorgeous there. We've camped there every summer for 10 or so years. With my boys getting older their interest in doing this is fading but hey that's what we scrapbook for, right?

Thanks so much for watching!

P.S. Most of youtube videos I watch are of those who create  from the products they sell. I am always inspired but I wanted to take a moment to tell you I appreciative that you take the time to watch my videos, knowing that I really have nothing to offer but hope that I inspire you to craft and create yourself. It's really inexpensive therapy...lol...

Simple Cards Cricut Art Cartridge Episode 15 - Card 16

I'm back on track with the Simple Cards Cricut Art cartridge. I thought the original design of this card didn't really need a lot of additions. Here's what I came up with. I made 3 additional cards for the Operation Write Home organization. The guidelines of the cards cannot have anything glitter or sparkly so instead of putting glitter glue. I punched out 3 small circles and placed them in the left corner instead of the glitter glue.

Here's how I made it:

Masculine Scrapbook Album - You're The Man

I love it when my friends ask that I create things for them. This is a Father's Day gift for her husband.
She gave me some info on what he likes and this is what I came up with.

Gift Card Holder - Hipster Themed (+playlist)

It's that time of the year again to show our appreciation for the hard working teachers. I made this gift card holder for my son's math tutor (former Algebra teacher). He's a great guy and sort of the hipster type...

Female Birthday Card - Cat Theme

My girlfriend asked if I'd make a card for her Aunt. Her Aunt likes purple and cats so here's what I came up with. I love it when my friends challenge me.
