CardzTV wrap up and other stuff

Well, the CardzTV blog hop is over. I sure hope you all had a chance to check out all the wonderful 3D (Saturday) and Card creations the design teams creations. Thank you ALL for hopping with us. You've just got to go and take a look at all of the stamps Mary www.cardztv.blogspot.com has to offer.

For myself, I'm taking a break from the two design teams (Just-A-Scrappin' and CardzTV) from now until Fall. I've got a lot on my plate and want to make sure I don't overload myself...stress is not a good thing.

I'll still be continuing with crafting here at my home for a few weeks then the big move (hopefully) mid to end of May.

Hugs to you all and I hope you're having a sun shiny day!

Free 2015 Calendar from Paper Crafts & Scrapbooking Magazine

I wanted to share this awesome and free 2015 calendar from Paper Crafts & Scrapbooking. It would be a super cute Holiday gift. Just embellish the blank space and bind it together. You could use a Cinch or just punch 3 holes in it and put it together with ribbon.
Log on to www.papercraftsmag.com. You'll see "Sentiments, Patterns and Downloads". Click on that then click on the calendar. There are some other really great downloads available too!

I've made a gift card for my son's math tutor.

I cut everything at 6 inches. You'll need a bit bigger than an A2 size envelope. It's called an A6. Learn something everyday! Enjoy!

Simple Cards Cricut Art Cartridge Series

I started up the Simple Cards Cricut Art Cartridge Series. These cards are so cute. You can add embellishments of your own or not. I've just completed the 12th card. You can find them on www.youtube.com/sunshinecreation. Don't forget to subscribe!

Warehouse

I went and saw the warehouse yesterday. OMG! I'm just so excited I can't stand it. It's the perfect size with a nice size office as well. The floors are a polished concrete which are perfect for scrapbooking, paper crafting etc. because you can just sweep it up when you're done. The walls are painted a beautiful light brown. I've mentioned it to a few of my close friends who are direct sales (Avon, Scentsy, etc.) and they definitely are excited about holding boutiques there. It's going to be so much fun!

Opportunities

My husband has offered me a 1500 square foot office/warehouse to expand my passion for paper crafting. I'm not really interesting in opening a store. I was thinking of using it for Scrapbooking, card making classes, art classes, etc. what are your thoughts?

CardzTV 3D Design Team - "Spring"

Hey everyone! Here's my project for Mary's CardzTV www.cardztv.blogspot.com 3D design team challenge. I used the "Count Your Blessings" stamp set.
I bought this frame for $.25 at our local swap meet. As you'll see in the video, I dissected it a bit and added my own "thing". I just love doing stuff like this.

Here's how I did it:

Just-A-Scrappin Design Team - Spring Card

Hey there paper crafters! For the Just-A-Scrappin Design Team (www.just-a-scrappin.blogspot.com) this week we made a "Spring" themed card.
I tend to always make a regular A2 size card but for this one I made a gate fold. I like this design a lot.

Here's what I used to make it:
Card Base: Yellow Recollections
Layers: DCWV. I had this in my scrap bin.
Ribbon: Ofray sheer yellow. This is a belly band ribbon
Label: Elegant Edges cut at 2 1/2 inches and inked on the edges
Flowers: Jolee
Bling: Recollections

On the inside I stamped Happy Easter.

Thanks so much for joining me and the design team!

Spring Fling results

There were about 30 people that showed up. Not bad for a neighborhood boutique. My cards sold like crazy! No luck on the mini albums. I sold two sets of note cards without the gift bag. All in all it was good and fun to be with my friends.
So want to buy a gift bag? Lol...

Spring Fling Boutique

Good morning everyone! 5 years ago I started my crafting hobby by scrapbooking. After about a year of that I made Holiday cards for my friends and family who all were so "impressed" that they encouraged me to start a card business. My husband got the resale certificate, business license, etc. and off I went. My son set up my website, I set up a blog, sold at boutiques and fundraisers AND had an opportunity to sell my cards in a Mail Center Store (kind of like UPS). I picked up clients in Japan and all over the United States. It's been such an exciting adventure.
Today, I'll be selling my creations at a neighborhood boutique. I'm really excited about it. There are over 100 people confirmed to attend. For me, though, it's not just about selling my creations. It's also about sharing them and hopefully inspiring people to try the paper crafting world themselves. It's truly therapeutic, relaxing and fun. In addition, it's about being with girlfriends who are Entrepreneurs just like me.
Thank you all for following me and I hope to continue to inspire you!
Hugs,

Kimberly

Scrapbook Mini Album ($10.00 Each) Graphic 45 Simple Mini Album

Hi there everyone!
I was going through my paper stacks and kits trying to find some really pretty paper to do some more gift bag and note card sets for the Spring Fling Boutique I'm selling at. I came across this Graphic 45 paper which I feel in love with all over again. Instead of making note cards I made this simple mini album. For those of you who watched the youtube video of this check out the 2nd picture. I ended up putting both the tag and the flowers.

Here's a brief description of how I put it all together.

Good to be back

Well, my sister and I couldn't have had more fun during her visit. She's on the plane now heading back to Tacoma, Wa.. I only have two days until the Spring Fling and am really wanting to get some more projects done. I'm going to switch over from the note card/gift bag sets to do a few Easter and Mother's Day cards. I'm using this afternoon to get my craft room back in order and will start tomorrow!
It's good to be back.

Just-A-Scrappin Design Team - Create with a vintage theme

This week our challenge for Just-A-Scrappin Design team (www.just-a-scrappin.blogspot.com) was to create something vintage. I'm either doing cards, scrapbooking, mini albums, well...paper crafting type stuff. This time I did a bit of a mixed media/vintage placard for Mother's Day.

Here's how I did it:
I bought the placard at Michael's. It was original white. I put a coat of brown acrylic paint first.
Using Mod Podge I placed torn pieces of music themed paper and let it dry. I then put a coat of Medium Varnish and waited for it to dry. I inked up the edges with Tim Holtz Vintage Photo and Peeled paint distress ink. I then put the embellishments on. The yellow flower, it's leaves and pins came from Remember When Scrapbooking (my local "x" scrapbooking store). I used seam binding for the brown accent ribbon. The metal embellishment is from Memory Makers. The vellum "Happy Mother's Day" came from Quick Quotes.

I absolutely love doing projects like this.

Thanks so much for stopping by!
