Just-A-Scrappin Design Team Weekly Challenge - Create A Circular Card

Hi all! Whew..where did the day go? I completely forgot to post my weekly challenge. I have a confession. I made this card a while back but loved it so much I thought I'd show you for the this design team project.

Here's what I used to make it:
I used the Wild Card Cricut cartridge. I cut it at 5 1/4. Any bigger and it won't fit in an envelope.
I added Recollections Flowers. I don't recall where I got the label for the sentiment. The sentiment is Fiskars.
Thanks so much for stopping by!

April Daily Motivational Projects

I've been rackin' my brain trying to decide on what to do for April's DMP. Here's what I've come up with so far. I do need some suggestions for Wednesdays. I would love it if you'd join me in any or all of these DMP. Just email me your picture(s) with permission to post it on my blog! We could all use some inspiration.

Monday - Mixed Media Monday. I'm keeping this for selfish reasons. I want to continue trying to learn more about this.
Tuesday - Inspiration Tuesday. This day would be about making projects, cards, layouts, etc. that I've seen on youtube, Pinterest, Etsy, blogs, etc. that have inspired me.
Wednesday - Help. Sorry...not sure yet. Any ideas?
Thursday - Mother's Day Bouquet Cricut cartridge Series.
Friday - Frantic Scrapbook Friday. I've decided to keep this one as well. It's really helping me get my album done.

Also, for the month of April (up until April 11th) I'll be sharing a few of the products I'll be selling at the Spring Fling Boutique I'm attending. I hope there is a good turnout. Last time I did a fundraiser boutique no one showed up. Sad...

Thanks all for following me through this crazy crafting world we live in!

Daily Motivational Project - (3/26) Wacky Wednesday

So, for the last week that I've been crafting nothing...believe it or not...Wacky has really happened. Do you have something you'd like to share? Just email the picture and with your permission I'll post it on the blog.

Thanks for stopping by!

Daily Motivational Project - (3/25) Stamp It Tuesday "Grandma Mother's Day card...

Welcome to Daily Motivational Project - Stamp It Tuesday. I've made this mother's day for my that gal. I also love this technique with stamping on layers. If you've done a stamping project and want to share just email ( a pic and with your permission I'll post it here on the blog to inspire all who see.
I also have a guest stamper, Lindsey. She's made two beautiful cards that will definitely inspire you.

Here's how I made it.

Here's Lindsey's techniques:
"The first one I embossed with a Cuttlebug leaves folder and then sanded to reveal the white core. For the sentiment on both cards I just used my computer to type out the sentiment as I don’t have any Sympathy sentiment stamps and then used the Center point feature on the Cricut to center it on the cut. The cut was from Art Philosophy."
Brilliant, Lindsey!

"The second one I used some of my leftover Olive green DCWV cardstock to make a standard A2 card then used some My Minds Eye paper for the layer. I inked around it with Tim Holtz Antique Linen distress ink. I used Art Philosophy for the scalloped circles. Now the stamp is a digital stamp, I don’t have any really detailed stamps suitable for a sympathy card, mainly just fun type daisies in my stamps. So I found this image free on the net and I printed it onto watercolor paper. I used my watercolor pencils to color. I’m very happy with it as I feel I’m getting better at my watercoloring : )"

Awesome, Lindsey.

Thanks for joining me for the DMP "Stamp It Tuesday" and to all thanks for stopping by!

Spring Fling - Gift Bag, Coordinating Note Card Folder, Note Cards and Envelopes Pink...

Here's a third one that I've made. I'll probably make about 10 to sell at the Spring Fling but won't do a video on each one. Once I'm all done I'll review what I've done.

Here's some details on it...

Thanks for stopping by!

Spring Fling - Gift Bag, Coordinating Note Card Folder, Note Cards and Envelopes "Busy ...

Here's another gift bag and note card set I've made for the Neighborhood Spring Fling. You really can use any paper you'd like but you'll need about 6 sheet of coordinating paper if you want it to all match.

Spring Fling - Gift Bag, Coordinating Note Card Folder, Note Cards and Envelopes "Perfect The Way You Are"

Twice a year my friend, Cynthia, has a neighborhood boutique. It's on April 12th. Ladies that sell Avon, Gourmet Coffee, Scented Candles, Thirty One Gifts, Nexium and more will be selling their goods. Oh, me too! I'm the only vendor that will be selling handcrafted items. I'm trying to focus on Mother's Day cards, gifts, etc. Here is one of the gifts I've made.

This is a handmade gift bag. I've also made a folder that holds 6 envelopes and 6 matching note cards. I want to ask $15 but know that they probably won't sell for that much. It's a neighborhood boutique and people tend not to want to pay a lot for handcrafted things. So, what do you think? $12.50 or should I go as low as $10. It takes me about 1 1/2 hours to make these. $10 is my cost for materials and labor. I certainly do not want these sitting in my garage.
I have a few more I'll be posting too.

Daily Motivational Project - (3/13) Totally Die Cut Thursday "Thank You"

First, a thank you to Lindsey Cowan for playing along with the Daily Motivational Projects. She made this adorable card for her dad for Father's Day. She's got her creative Mo Jo going on! Look how cute this little pig is from Create A Critter!
Here's what she used to make the card:
"Blue card blank from a box of DCWV pre-cut cards
Pink mat - DCWV
Blue mat – from my stash
Embossing folders – Cuttlebug Hexagon and dots
Pig was cut at 3” on the CCR from Create a Critter
Twine – American Crafts
Eyelets - Michaels
I made my own label in Publisher with a cute font as I wanted to customize the greeting."

I just love these new die cuts I got and in perfect time for DMP Totally Die Cut Thursday.
I made this Thank You card for the PA that was so sweet and helpful during my son's procedures.

Here's how I made it.

Daily Motivational Projects March 24 - 28

Hi all!
As some of you may know, my youngest son had back surgery about a month ago. They removed a tumor that consisted of tissue and bone fragment. The pathology report indicated he had Staph Aeureus (staff infection) and Osteomyelitis. Because his situation was so unusual he was referred to Children's Hospital of Los Angeles Infectious Disease department. His appointment is on Monday, March 24th. I do not know what is going to come of this. Although I truly enjoy crafting, art, etc. I'm going to need to focus on this personal situation and won't be able to pursue the DMP. If for some reason it's not a big deal then I'll go ahead and do it.

Happy St. Patrick's Day Card

Thanks for stopping by for the Just-A-Scrappin Design Team Weekly Challenge! The challenge was to make a project with a St. Patrick's Day theme. I wanted to try out a new technique, well new to me, so I used the CCR to cut out this shamrock. It turned out how I had expected!

Here's how I created it:

Daily Motivational Project - (3/12) Wacky Wednesday "I Got Nothin'"

Banner "St. Patrick's Day" (CardzTV 3D Design Team)

Here's the 3D project I made for CardzTV 3D design team. It's a St. Patrick's Day Banner! I've taken a picture of the entire banner then each individual rosette so you can see the details. I used Mary's "Fun and Games" stamp set and "It's All About You". These sentiments stamps are of the best quality, creative and just so stinkin' cute (as my friend Mary would say

Materials and Measurements:
Rosette: Recollections cardstock cut at 12 x 4 1/2. I scored on the horizontal line at 1/2 inche all the way across then folder it accordion style. I put a 4 inch circle piece on the back with some really good tacky glue then a Spellbinders die cut and a gold 4 inch circle on top of that.
Letters: Extreme Fonts Cricut cartridge. Cut at 2 1/2 on the shift short stuff. This is just black cardstock.
Scallop Punch: Fiskars
Sentiment: The "I'm so lucky" and "You're My Lucky Charm" was stamped on the scallop punch. I put a dot of green Viva Pearl pen on each scallop edge.
Pot: This came from Simply Charmed Cricut cartridge. It' was cut at 2 1/2 (?)...gosh I forgot already. I tell you in the video.
Gold Coins: Marvy 1/2 inch punch
Clover: St. Patrick's Day Cricut cartridge

Here's how I made it.

Thanks for stopping by and have a sun shiny day!

Daily Motivational Project - (3/7) Frantic Scrapbook Friday "Stephen Hawking"

Hi there and thanks for stopping by on DMP - Frantic Scrapbook Friday! Life is all about experiencing it. Here's a one page layout (it's a bit of an unusual design) highlighting the evening we went to go hear Stephen Hawking lecture. It was a once in a lifetime experience.

PLUS! We have a visitor. Yes, Lindsey Cowan has sent an amazing layout to inspire us. Look at the adorable flowers under the picture on the top right corner! This looks like a really fun day. Thank you, Lindsey, so very much for sharing your creation with us.

Here's how I made it:

Daily Motivational Project - (3/6) Totally Die Cut Thursday "Luck"

Hi there! Here's a card I made for the DMP - Totally Die Cut Thursday. Now, sigh...., I changed my mind again. I finished the video then changed the sentiment. Here's a picture of it. I just didn't like the sentiment all on one piece of cardstock. So, I cut around the letters and inked the edges.

Here's how I made it.

Thursday, March 6, 2014

What Happen To DMP Mixed Media Monday, Stamp It Tuesday and Wacky Wednesday?

Well, Monday came and went with doctor appointments, grocery shopping, vet appointments, etc. But I had time to whip up an Art Journal page! Tuesday I had to move everything out of my craft room so my new window shades could be installed today. Speaking of Wednesday, I've just spent the last 4 hours putting everything back in my craft room. Sigh...back..hurting..ouch...

For the rest of the day, I'm finalizing my Just-A-Scrappin design team project which should have submitted yesterday (yikes) and I'm very close to finishing the CardzTV 3D Design Team Project.

I didn't get any email entries for my blog on any of the DMP :-(. I know everyone is busy but I'm hopeful someone will get a chance to try one of them. We are all creative and have talent that can be shared.

Thanks all.

[ICWIC Crew] Art Journal "Good-bye Love"

I think..key word..think I'm getting the hang of this Art Journaling. I had a great time doing this one. I've called it "Good-bye Love" cause we had to say farewell to The Love Month of February.

Here's how I did it.

Thanks for stopping by and have a sun shiny day.
