Quick Hello

I'm having crafting withdrawals but I've been busy doing something very important. I've been taking care of my mom. She flew into California at the beginning of November to come see my doctor for a stomach issue. That's been resolved (dairy and gluten intolerant) but she's having trouble with her short term memory. Yes, as we get older our memory fades but this is a bit more serious especially since she's only 76 years old. Since she lives alone in Nevada and I just could send her back home until we find out what's wrong. She's finished with all her tests. We'll have a final answer on Monday.
If all goes well, I'll be starting my Christmas cards after Thanksgiving and hopefully able to do some videos and tutorials. I have a lot of ideas and designs I can't wait to share with you.

Halloween Treat Boxes and Bags

You know the saying, "Better late than never." Actually, since I've been attending to my mom (she has some health issues we're trying to resolve) I didn't post any of the Halloween creations I made. Here are a few of the treat boxes and a bag I made. Want to see how they were made? Check out my youtube channel

Cricut cartridge: Happy Hauntings

Cricut cartridge: Mini Monsters. The witch and broom were cut at 3 inches.
I used a regular sack lunch bag. Inside is a zip lock baggie full of popcorn and candy corn. For the broom stick is added a large pretzel stick.

Cricut cartridge: Happy Hantings.
I cut both of these on Fit to Page. They turn out large enough that you can put a small cookie inside or about 2 oz of candy.

Thank you all for stopping by!

Coffee Mug with hot chocolate, marshmellows and a yummy candy cane.

I had so much fun making this! It's a great gift for just about anyone. Now, here in sunny central California it's still in the high 70's low 80's so hot chocolate isn't all that appealing but we're keeping our fingers crossed that rain soon! Want to see how I made it? Check out my youtube channel at

Cricut cartridge: Tags, Bags, Boxes and More 2
Paper: Recollections
Misc: I added rust, beige and brown raffia to the inside of each cup.
The treat bag can be found at Michaels, JoAnns or Beverly's.

Make sure that you use very sturdy card stock if you're going to put something in it. This cup is the large one but there is also a smaller version you can make as well. It would fit a small cupcake  or maybe a few coffee pods.

Thanks for stopping by and hugs!

Thanksgiving cards for an Army troop

My (cyber) friend, Janis (, has a son and son-in-law in the Army. She makes cards and sends them to the troops so they can mail them to their families and friends. I thought this was so wonderful that I wanted to be a part of it. Here are some of the cards I mailed to the troops.

I used a variety of Cricut cuts, Copic markers, designer paper collections, ribbons, embellishments and die cuts. If there is a particular card you'd like to have more info on just leave a comment and I'll get back to you.
I put a note in the package that I mailed. I thanked the troops for all that they do for us Americans and included my email address. I hope to hear from them!
Hugs and have a sunshiny day!

Halloween pencil toppers

This post is a bit late but I've been taking care of my mom who's out here visiting from Nevada. She's been having some health issues that the doctors there can't seem to help her with.

I made these pencil toppers for my friend, Joyce, who is a teacher for 2nd graders. I love how they turned out and found out the kids loved them as well. Yeah! These were a craft they did as part of their Halloween party. I cut the images and layers and put them in individual baggies. The kids then put them together. If you'd like to see how they were prepared visit my youtube channel

Cricut Cartridge: Paper Doll Dress Up.

Each image and their layers were cut at 4 inches. On the shadow layer I cut a slit for the pencil to slide into.

Thank you so much for stopping by. Have a sunshiny day!

Feeling Hopeful for the Spring Boutique

I emailed Pam a week ago, a wonderful hard-working lady, who organizes very big boutiques here in town. I've requested a spot in the Spring Boutique. There aren't any spaces available but I'm hoping something will open up. She asked I email her pictures but because the minis have so many pages, embellishments, etc. I made her a video instead highlighting some of the Scrapbook Mini Albums I've made. You can watch this video on
