Just-A-Scrappin weekly design team challenge - Summertime

Hey all you bloggers. I'm up early because I needed to post my Just-A-Scrappin Design challenge ( It's been a whirl wind of a week, especially yesterday, so I didn't get a chance sooner.

I loved the challenge this week "summertime beach scene use greens and blues add some sparkle (I completely forgot to put the sparkle)" because I was able to use my new CTMH Artbooking Cricut cartridge. It saved me because I was SO busy and didn't know when I was going to be able to work on the challenge. I used the pre-designed summer scene. I'm still struggling a bit with the sizing but I'll get it. If you'd like to see how I put this together watch it on

How I did it:
Paper: My Mind's Eye "On The Sunny Side ~ Sweet Chevron". Absolutely love these colors...
Coredinations ~ I coordinated the soft colors.
Cartridge: Artbooking (pg 67)
          Title: Cut at 11inches
           Overlay: 11 inches
Photo Frames: Photo Mat 1 (Wave) cut at 5 inches real dial size. Photo Mat 2 (my/sun) cut at 11 in.
           Palm Tree: 11 inches
Other embellishments:
Film Strip: Cut by hand (1 3/4  x 4) then stamped with the Artbooking stamp set. I'll use this as a
           a journaling tag.
Thanks and have a sun shiny day!

Just A Scrappin Design Team Challenge

Hey everyone! For the challenge this week we've been asked to create a card or layout using stamping and heat embossing. These are two of my very favorite techniques! Watch how it's made at

Card Base: Standard A2 (5 1/2 x 4 1/4) size card using cream colored card stock.
Stamp: Flower stamp is from Recollections. I've had the "Thanks" stamp forever so I'm not sure who made it. I used the Martha Stewart embossing powder for this.
Ink: Stampin' Up Calypso Coral and Pool Party
Embellishments: Tag is from the Leeza Gibbons collection. The ribbon/bow is from American Crafts. The banner and the other strip of paper is from my scraps.
Thanks so much for stopping by!

Just A Scrappin Design Team Challenge - Celebrate A New Family Addition

Here's this week's Just-A-Scrappin Design Team Challenge. We've been asked to create a card or layout to celebrate a new family member using pastels.

The (5 1/2 x 4) white card base is from Recollections. I used a very light pink ink and rubbed it on the Cuttlebug border embossing folder before I ran it through The Big Shot. As you can see, I embossed the left and right edges. It was helpful to use craft tape to hold the embossing folder down.

The "Welcome To The World" and Onesie is from a Fiskars Stamp set. I stamped it on DCWV designer paper then cut it out by hand. On the back of the onesie I applied score tape where I put the ribbon and clamped on the tiny clothes pin. At the bottom of the onesie, on the back, I put a small pop dot to prevent it from flopping around the card. The ribbon length was about 4 inches. About 2 inches down from the top of the card I punch 2 holes using my paper piercer but making sure the hole was large enough to string the ribbon through. I would suggest using eyelets in these holes to make them more stable. I then inserted the 2 ends of the ribbon into the holes. On the inside of the card, to cover the ribbon that was pulled through, I adhered 2 very small (1/8 inch circles) over the ribbon.

Here it is:

Mini Album using Bo Bunny Paper and a gift box

On my last blog, I mentioned taking a "mini me vacation". I was able to finish my 2012 Scrapbook Album plus create this little mini and the gift box. I got the gift box idea from It's really simple and could be altered for a smaller project as well.
Bo Bunny Design Paper is so pretty! You can't go wrong with the Isabella line.
