Just A Scrappin Design Team Challenge - Teddy Bears

Hi all! Have you ever had a moment where your creative juices weren't quite flowin'? Well, for this challenge that was simply the case. I started with the idea in my head and just had the most difficult time putting it all together. Hey, but I didn't give up! I will punch a hole on the left and right side at the top and pull some ribbon through it. It'll hang on my door very nicely.

12 x 12 Chip board (Joanns)
12 x 12 White Colorbok card stock
Coordinations card stock in green, yellow/gold and orange
Gold foil paper
Green glitter paper (Coordinations)
White Gel Pen
Green glitter
Glue pen
Cricut Cartridges: Teddy Bear Parade, Simply Charming, Designer's Calendar, Elegant Edges, Create A Critter 2
Ribbon: crinkle ribbon
Glubers: Cool stuff that I'm going to try and do a tutorial on. This was for the rolled flowers. I couldn't figure out where to put an quilling embellishments so I did the rolled flowers.

First, I glued the white card stock onto the chip board. I cut the black frame edges from Elegant  Edges (pg 43). I used my Gypsy to cut this at 11.65 x 1.00.
All the Teddy Bear pieces were cut at 10 inches. On the eyes I used a white gel pen as well as the pant legs, bow tie and boots. I hand traced the lapel of the jacket and manually cut it. Otherwise it would have been green and blended in. That's just how the cartridge is. I used a glue pen around the edges of the lapel and added Martha Stewart glitter.
I cut the out the pot and rainbow at 3 inches (pg. 33) of Simply Charmed then cut the rainbow stripes. Layer 1 in yellow/gold, then two cuts of layer 2 in green and one in orange. This was the first time I'd made this cute little pot. It was a little confusing at first. The "lucky" word was cut out at one inch from Simply Charming (pg. 32). I used a black gel pen to add the face.
I used a small circle punch for the gold that's in the pot. They are made of gold foil paper.
The four leaf clover on his nose (cut at 1 inch) and the one under the "Happy St. Patricks Day" (cut at 3 inches) was from green glitter card stock. I used Designer's Calendar.
The "Happy St. Patricks Day" was cut at 2 inches. It's from the Create A Critter 2 cartridge. First I cut the Phrase in black then the "St. Patricks" in green.
I placed the four rolled flowers on each of the corners. I have a BUNCH of ribbon but believe it or not did not have a bright green that went well the the color scheme.
All in all it turned out cute.

Cardz TV Crafty Cards Challenge #126 - Make A Wish

Hi all! I'm having so much fun entering my creations in Mary's Cardz TV blog ( I really love her stamps and hopefully will win one this time.

Recollections pre-scored card stock 5 1/2 x 4.
DCWV Brown Shimmer cut at 5 1/2 x 4
DCWV The Sweet Stack
Recollections Yellow and Green paper
White Gel Pen
Quilling Paper
Recollections Bling
Ofray Ribbon
Cricut Cartridge Celebrations
Stamp Set (?)
The pre-scored Recollections card stock really comes in handy. I cut the DCWV brown shimmer the same size. Then I cut the DCWV Sweet Stack at 5 1/4 x 3 3/4 and layered that on top of the brown.
I cut a piece of pink ribbon (from my stash) and green with white dot ribbon (Offray) about 4 1/2 inches long and wrapped it around the DCWV Sweet Stack right near the top. The lable comes from Lacey Lables Cricut cartridge cut at 2 inches with a yellow base then a pink layer. I stamped "Happy Birthday" using a stamp set from Fiskars (?). I have the stamp for a long time. The cupcake was cut at 3 inches in green as the cupcake bottom and yellow as the cupcake frosting. I added square pink bling and used my quilling technique (roll) to make the faux chocolate chips. The cherry is red quilling paper using the roll technique but a bit bigger. I wrapped the same green with white polk a dots ribbon around the bottom of the cupcake and faux stitched it.

Oh and the picture shows the ribbon color change.

Just-A-Scrappin Design Team Challenge - Love Is In The Air

This week, for the Just-A-Scrappin Design Team challenge is "Love is in the Air. Use lots of hearts". I'm "killing two birds with one stone" here. I was inspired to create this card not only for the design team challenge but Card Maker magazine (CMM) also has monthly challenges as well. Now, CMM was challenging the readers to do a card with Octagons on it...huh? Out of the...cough...cough...many (we'll just say "many") Cricut cartridges I have NOT ONE had an octagon cut. I could only find it on George Basic Shapes, which surprising enough, I do not have. So, I got out my graph paper and cut my own.
The card base is from Recollections in which I layered it with a pre-embossed paper that I had bought at JoAnns last year. It was a scrap so I don't know the manufacturer. I cut a 3 x 5  1/2 inch strip of white paper and punched it down both sides. I then used my hand made octagon and traced it on pink card stock then on some Martha Steward heart designed paper. I found the most adorable heart embellishments at Walmart and put several of them on each of the Octagons. I like the Live, Love, Laugh sentiment. It's a stamp set I've had for a long time and have almost worn it out.

Valentine's Day Cards - Wrapping It Up

Hi all!
Well, I think I'm done with creating my Valentine's Cards and wanted to show you all that I've done. I did get a call from the owner of the store I used to sell my cards and he's asked I bring them back. He said, "People have been asking where the cards are". That is sure an ego booster, right?
I'll list them individually and if you have any questions just leave and comment and I'll get back to you.
