Easter Cards
Ready, set...Easter! I've been working on some Easter cards that I wanted to share with you. Remember giving a handcrafted custom card to family or a friend is a great way to show them how special they are to you.

Jelly Beans! This card features the most adorable acrylic stamps from Avocado Arts. http://www.avocadoarts.com/ They offer a stamp of the month club. You should check it out! For this card I used a lavendar card stock base (5 1/2 x 4 1/2), layered it with white cardstock (5 1/4 x 4 1/4) using the Sizzix Swiss embossing lightly inking the dots and edges with PowderPuff "Green with Envy" chalk ink. The bottom strip is punched with an ek Success punch using a scrap I had (sorry I don't know the manufacturer). Last, I used basic white card stock, stamping the jar, then inside I stamped the jelly beans. I used copic markers and Martha Stewart Glitter Pens to color the beans. I stamped the Happy Easter and cut it out with decorative cut scissors and inked the edges with the same color as the dotted swiss layer. For the final touch I adheared the yellow riboon around the jar, punched a hole in the Happy Easter tag and tied it on.

Happy Easter! This card is so cute and colorful! The materials I used are bright blue card stock (5  1/2 x 4 1/2), dotted card stock from DCW Blossoms and Butterfly paper stack (5 1/4 x 4 1/4), Studio G (chick), Craft Smart (Happy Easter), pearl pen and copic markers. I rounded the corners of the base and the layer. The square that the stamped chick is on is 1 1/2 x 1 1/2. The rectangle it sits on is 4 x 2. On the edges I used a pearl pen to make the dots. I colored the chick with copic markers. On a scrap paper of the dotted card stock I stamped the chick again and cut out the shell of the egg only, inked it with Studio G blue and used dimensions to adhere it. I stamped the chick stamp again on white card stock, cut out the flower, colored it using yellow and green copic markers and crystal stickles for the middle of the flower.

Easter Joy! This card was created by using a Cricut Expressions and the Doodlecharms Cricut Catridge. All the images were cut out at 3 inches. I used a yellow cardstock base (5 1/2 x 4 1/2), with a layer (5 1/4 x 4 1/4) of paper from DCW Butterflies and Blossoms paper stack. To make the card a bit more interesting, I inked the edges of the bunny with pink and added a yellow bow using a glue dot. I cut the basket out in white card stock, distressed the bottom and handle with brown Staz On ink to give it a bit of texture then used a white and brown gel pen to give it a stitched look. For each of the eggs, I inked them then used Martha Stewart glitter pens to decorate each egg.

That's all for today! Hope you enjoy and have a sun shiny day.
