Happy New Year

Sigh. Christmas is over and the New Year celebration is just around the corner. I haven't blogged, scrapbooked, crafted or made any cards in almost 3 weeks! The holiday cards, gift bags and crafts at my card store are still there! Yikes. I'll need to stop by tomorrow and get them.

I'm organizing my craft room today, since I still have Holiday "stuff" all over the place, and plan to also pull out the Valentine's Day materials I have. Gosh, I just might have to go shopping. Oh darn, right?

I wish you all a fabulous New Year celebration and a healthy, happy, prosperous New Year!

Just-A-Scrappin Design Team Challenge -Thanksgiving

Just-A-Scrappin Design Team Challenge: "Make a Thanksgiving card, layout or 3D project. Use any color but let's add some lace."
For this card I started out with a 5 1/2 x 4 inch craft card stock base from Recollections. These come with the same color of envelope too! I love it. The stamp is from Lawn Fawn...awesome stamps BTW. The turkey is a stamp from Recollections that I bought last year. I heat embossed it. The burlap, ribbon and lace are scraps from a discount bin at Remember When Scrapbooking (local scrapbook store).
Have a wonderful Thanksgiving! Gobble 'til you Wobble!

Just-A-Scrappin Design Team Challenge "Tag Your It"

Hi everyone. I was having some computer problems last night and had to wait for the hubby to fix so I couldn't get this on sooner. Anyway, here is my project for Just-A-Scrappin Design Team Challenge: "Tag Your It" -Make a tag or a project with a tag on it" Use any theme and add some bling."

This is a Post Card tag that I found at Remember When Scrapbooking. Isn't it so beautiful? It's a different way of sending a holiday card. For the front, I used Tim Holtz distressing tool, Peeled Paint distress ink and a little bit of Fired Brick as well. The embellishment is from my Christmas embellishment stash from last year. I bought it from Michaels (Recollections). The paper flowers are by Petaloo. The bling was in my stash, also, so I'm not sure of the manufacturer. I used plastic Raffia (bought at Joanns) and some wire ribbon scrap for the tag hole. After it was all put together I sprayed Glimmer Mist on it. The way this tag is designed it would have to be put in an envelope to mail it. I'm making more today that will be "mailable". I'll share them with you all.

Thanks for stopping by! Hugs and Happy Thanksgiving.

Card for the Fantabulous Cricut Challenge Blog

Here is my card for the Fantabulous Cricut Challenge Blog.
I made this cute card using the Teddy Bear Parade Cricut cartridge.
I had to make it simple for the kids who attended my Thanksgiving card class.
They had so much fun. The layers were very simple for them to put it all together.
The stamp is from a Recollections stamp set I bought 2 years ago.
The base of the card is from Recollections (5 1/2 x 4). The Teddy Bear was cut out at 4 inches.

Pause, Dream, Enjoy Blog Challenge

Here is the card I've entered into the Pause, Dream, Enjoy blog challenge.
On the inside is stamped "A time for togetherness".

This was created with a 5 1/2 x 4 inch white Recollections pre-scored card base. The first layer (5 1/4 x 3 3/4) is rust color with swiss dot (pre-embossed) from DCWV "The Guy". The green floral paper (5 x 3 1/2) is from my paper stash. I cut a doilie in half. I then cut a green flower embellishment from Sizzix/Hero Arts Framlets, cut it in half and adhered it to the doilie. The leaves are from a Spellbinders Foliage Die cut. The brown flowers are (I think) Prima. The orange flower is Recollections and the orange button is Jolee. Last, the bling I bought a Scrapbooking expo last year.
I hope enjoy and have a sun shiny day...Kimberly.

Just-A-Scrappin Design Team Craft Swap

I first want to thank Patti for all the amazing craft items she gave me to create the Just-A-Scrappin design team craft swap. I had so much fun creating with them all. I used many of the products but still have enough left to make some cards. So, here we go!

She gave me a wooden frame, rub ons, sticker embellishments, crystal bling, a variety of ribbon, card stock of 4 different design, a stamp, an embossing folder, a bunch of flowers, a beautiful, beautiful crochet heart, lady bug stickers, ...I hope I remembered everything.

Here is the before picture:
Here is the after with all of them together:
Then the individual. First the frame.
I cut the card stock into strips and place them diagonal on the frame. I then cut out a heart shape and used the rub ons to decorate that. I then placed the crystal bling in each of the flowers and added the lady bugs. I then pop dotted the crochet heart. I framed the heart with this beautiful rope ribbon. Last I added the most amazing gold metal ... gosh I don't know what to call them...and added the pearls to the middle. Sigh...just love the materials and how it turned out.

Then the tag:
I used a piece of the card stock I had to make a 3 x 5 tag. Around the edges I used a Martha Stewart punch. Then I embossed a square piece of paper with the adorable embossing folder. To add some accent I used my sparkling gel pen on the part that sticks up. Finally, I put one of the stickers with the kissing fish and the "together" was a rub on. Oh wait, I forgot the, so cute.

Then the card:
I was thinking Chevron here but not sure I'm 100% liking how this turned out. I used the cream card stock Patti gave me and cut it at 5 1/2 x 4 1/2. On the bottom, I went up about an inch and used my crimper. I pulled out my Sizzix Die cuts, put a small hole on each and and threat the ribbon through it and tied the bow and used it with the stamp (so cute...did I already say that?). I got out my stickles and colored in the hearts. On each of the zig zags that I cut out I faux stitched around it to make them pop out.

Can you believe it! I still have so much of the materials left so I'll get to create even more!
Thanks so much for stopping by and hugs to Patti!!

Halloween Decorations - Teddy Bear Banner

Hi all! Here's another Halloween Decorations project. I had so much fun putting this one together. The first picture is of the completed project. It's hard to see the details of each Teddy Bear so I've included a close up of each bear. The Teddy Bear Parade Cricut Lite cartridge is a must have...I think I've already said that a few times on I did 4 videos parts 1-4.

Halloween Door Decoration - Beware

I'm needing to make some decorations for Halloween because my storage shed outside leaked last time it rained and damaged some things. Here's a door decoration. If you'd like to see how this was made check out I started out with a sheet of 12x12 medium chipboard. The fist layer is just basic black card stock, then I added a piece of K & Co. decorative Halloween themed paper. I used the Happy Haunting Cricut cartridge for the witches hat, spiders and "Beware". Fun, right?
Hope you enjoy and have a sun shiny day!

Halloween Card - Boo Ghost

Here's a new Halloween Card that I've made. You can see how this card was created on If you're interested in purchasing this just let me know.
I've created this one with a white card stock base (5 1/2 x 4 from Recollections), adding a shimmering orange textured layer (5 1/2 x 4 Bazzill card stock), a layer of cute polka dot (Elegant Edges cut at 5") card stock (Cloud9Design). The Ghost is from Create A Critter Cricut cartridge is cut at 3 inches on white glitter paper from Michaels. The black and orange ribbon is from my scrap bin. For the rosette I cut a 6 x 1 inch strip then used an EK success punch on just one edge. The spider is from K & Co.
Thanks so much for stopping by! Have a sun shiny day!

Female Birthday Card

I made this card for my mom for her 75th birthday. I used my new Pretty Pendents Cricut cartridge. I Love It! The base of the card is Recollections, cream colored, 5 1/2 x 4. I used a Bazzill pink textured card stock for the first layer then the pendent. The stamp is from Fiskars. I like the saying...I stamped it on a Spellbinders die cut.
Hope you enjoy. Have a sun shiny day!

Just A Scrappin Design Team 1 Challenge

It's time again for the Just A Scrappin Design Team Challenge! "Stamp & Stomp"  Make a card, layout or project using a stamped image.   Use the colors lime green and orange and any other colors.
For this project I made a decorative tag. Tags and mini albums are two of my favorite things to create.
Materials: Tag (Michaels)
Ribbon: Black with sparkling Spider Web (Joanns), Orange and White (Michaels) and the web ribbon (Remember When Scrapbooking)
Embellishments: Witch and Bat w/moon (K & Co.)
Stamp: Craft Smart
I used Pumpkin Spice Glimmer Mist on the tag using a heat gun to help it dry faster.
I still can't believe that on Monday we'll be starting the last quarter of 2012. I'm hoping it goes by really slow cause on Jan. 2....cough...cough..I turn 50. Nothing else to say.
Thanks for stopping by!

Halloween Card Kit

Hi everyone~

I held my first card making class on Saturday. It went really well and the people who attended told me they had a great time plus they want to sign up for the October, November and December classes! Enrollment wasn't as high as I anticipated so I have 3 card kits left. You get 6 cards with all the materials you need to create them plus easy instructions.
This picture is an example of the card you'll be making (note: the "trick or treat" words for the kit is slightly different).
The kit is $20 (it's a value or $35.00). If you're interested, contact me here in the comments section or email me at

Thanks SO much!

Halloween Cards

Hi everyone! Here are the Halloween cards I made last year. Since Halloween isn't a really busy card giving holiday I have a lot left over in my store. If you're interested in purchasing any of these they are $4.00 each. Any of them can be party invitations as well. If you would like details on any of these just comment on my blog and I'll get back to 'ya. I have a few more designs I'm working on for cards but this year I'm going to focus on creating more crafts. Check out the Caution and Witches Hat door hanger (pic #2 and 20). I used a 12 x 12 chipboard and decorated it with die cuts from Happy Hauntings. They hang on a door nob.
Enjoy and have a sun shiny day! Kimberly
